Benefits of Being a Real Estate Broker

Taking the leap from Agent to Broker has some incredible benefits, but comes with its own set of unique challenges. If you feel like you understand and enjoy the industry, check out a few of the ways you’ll benefit from becoming a broker.

Be your own boss.  As a Broker, you’ll be able to open your own real estate brokerage. This allows you to recruit talented and ambitious agents to work under your license. Additionally, you’ll now retain 100% of the commission on any sales you make on your own.

Increased Commission Maybe you’re not ready to open your own business, and wish to mitigate some risk by becoming an associate broker. This means using your experience and expertise to negotiate higher commission splits while still working under the safety of another broker.

Make More Money This is an undeniably good reason to become a broker. You not only retain a higher commission on your own sales, but you also keep a percentage of any sales that come from real estate agents under you. The cost is minimal compared to your potential ROI, making this the obvious choice if you want a long-term career as a real estate professional.

Get More Clients. Potential clients look for experience and expertise when hiring a real estate professional. The fact that you’re a Broker means that you’ve got both more experience and education than a new agent, and this increases your credibility. You can use this to market yourself to a wider (and more affluent) range of clients.
